Automatic
Built into the market itself. Nobody has to remember to pay it, and it can’t be skipped.
Whenever a song trades on CHART, part of every trade is set aside — automatically and on-chain — for the people who wrote, performed and own it. No sign-up needed for it to start.
The split happens inside the same on-chain transaction as the trade. The reserve receives 40% of every fee, on buys and sells alike.
Built into the market itself. Nobody has to remember to pay it, and it can’t be skipped.
Each recording has its own reserve account, so value stays with the music that created it.
It starts accruing the moment a market launches — before any rightsholder has even heard of CHART.
A recording can involve several people and companies. Rights are verified — and splits resolved — before anything is distributed. An artist name, a catalogue credit or a wallet address alone is not enough.
Live now. Every trade adds 0.50% to that song’s reserve.
Live now. Rightsholders can submit a claim; we verify rights.
At CHART’s full launch, subject to verification and final terms.
CHART is in beta: reserve balances are beta balances with no cash value, and nothing is paid out yet.
The Creator Reserve is funded by trading fees and belongs to verified rightsholders. Song-token holders do not receive it, and it does not depend on token prices. Tokens are speculative market positions, never a share of a song or its royalties.
